What is Craft Tapp?

  • A Local Craft Beer Discovery Club! We work closely with new and existing independently-owned local craft breweries to send you premium and exclusive craft beer right to your door anywhere in your province!

Account

  • Can I gift a subscription?
    • Yes! But, just purchase the subscription like you normally would and click “Ship to a Different Address.” The person receiving the shipment has to be of legal age and must be present to sign for it.
  • I love craft beer from another province, but I don’t live there, can I still get it?
    • Unfortunately no, but we are currently working on shipping to outside of provinces, but are main aim is to give you a taste of breweries from within your province.

On-Demand

  • How does it work?
    • Find a brewery–>Select what you would like–>Add to Your Cart–>Purchase–>Enjoy Your Local Craft Beer
  • Does Craft Tapp have a mobile application?
    • We are currently working on it and will be rolled out very soon!
  • How much is the delivery fee?
    • Delivery fees range from $5-$7
  • Can we tip our driver?
    • Yes you can! 100% of the tip goes to the driver!
  • Can I buy from different breweries?
    • Yup! So long as they are open! But there will be a delivery fee for each different brewery
  • Can I use cash?
    • We will not be using cash and all tips and payments are done through our platform!
  • Do I need ID?
    • Yup! If our drivers feel you are younger than 25, they can legally ask for a valid piece of ID and may refuse delivery if they feel ID is inadequate.
  • Can drivers withhold my delivery?
    • Yes they can for the following reasons:
      • The purchaser is not on the premises to sign for the delivery
      • Invalid ID
      • Intoxication
  • Can my friend my me beer?
    • We need the signature of the person who bought the beer and whose credit card was used.
  • What do you use to check ID?
    • We use an industry-leading software to check phones on a global database to make sure individuals are giving valid ID and are above age
  • What if I am not home when the delivery is made?
    • Unfortunately we can’t leave the alcohol by your doorstep. Packages will go to the nearest Canada Post. Be sure to have a piece of Government I.D. Some condominiums may be able to hold the package on your behalf, but please do discuss that with your building.
  • Can someone sign the delivery for me?
    • Unfortunately not at this time because of the laws behind alcohol delivery.

Billing

  • How does it work when I sign up for a subscription?
    • You will get billed on the day you sign up for the next month’s delivery and then your subscription will be renewed until you cancel. If you intend to cancel, please be sure to cancel prior to your next renewal
  • Do you take Debit card or Prepaid Visa/Mastercard?
    • No, it has to be a valid credit card
  • Do you take Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc.)?
    • Not yet, but we will shortly
  • Can I change my shipping/billing address half-way through a subscription?
    • Yes absolutely! Log in through the “My Account” tab at the bottom of the page and you will be able to change it.

Craft Beer Community

  • What is the Craft Beer Community?
    • This is a place where users and breweries can discuss hot topics that influence the craft beer world. Everything from new seasonals for the year, to what you want to see in beer this year, to new policy changes. Everything and anything to continue to showcase the craft beer scene.
  • Are there any rules to posting/creating a thread/commenting?
    • Nope everything and anything you want to talk about is fair game! All we ask is no profanity or derogatory words towards people of other race, religion, gender, beliefs, etc.
  • I’m having a hard time commenting/posting/starting a thread, what’s up with that?
    • Sometimes technology may give us a hard time, but we really want to hear what you have to say! So drop us a quick email and our tech team can get it sorted it for you

Shipment

  • When do I get my order?
    • We deliver by the 3rd Friday of every month
  • What if I am not home when it comes?
    • Because it’s alcohol, we can’t leave it at your door. A note will be left on your door directing you to go to the nearest Canada Post. We send you a tracking number so you know exactly where it is and when it’s on the way!
  • Can my significant other/children sign for the package if I am busy or not home?
    • Yes! But they have to be of legal age. Being alcohol, we have to make sure the recipient is of legal age. If the individual (purchaser or gift recipient) looks underage, appropriate ID must be given.
  • Will I get a receipt?
    • Yes absolutely! We will be giving two separate receipts through email.
  • What shipping carrier do you use?
    • We proudly use Canada Post!
  • Can I track my package?
    • Absolutely! Once it goes into transit, we will share a tracking number with you!
  • How long until I get my order?
    • We send them off a week in advance to make sure there is ample time for you to get it by the Friday

General

  • Do I know what I will be getting?
    • Nope! That’s the beauty of it! You will get all the beers (and maybe even an early seasonal or an exclusive) from a different local craft brewery.
  • What if I don’t like some of the beers that I received?
    • Although Craft Beer is amazing, there might be some flavours that you may not like but that’s the beauty of tasting new beers! Our aim is to give you a variety of beers from the brewery so that you can taste as much of them as they can get in our box!
  • Can I cancel my subscription half-way through?
    • We will be sad to see you go, but you totally can cancel no-charge. Just log into your account and cancel the subscription! However be sure to cancel before your renewal date.
  • What happens if the bottles/cans are broken?
    • Although that is very rare, we understand mistakes can happen. First and foremost, don’t drink from the box because your safety is first priority. Second, if possible, take a picture of the leaky box and bottles. Third contact us at info@crafttapp.ca and someone will get back to you ASAP.
  • Do you guys have an On-Demand feature?
    • Yes we do! But we are rolling it out in a few months. Just like craft beer, we want to make sure we put out a quality product that everyone can use and enjoy. Sign up for our On-Demand platform updates to stay in the know!
  • Can I add extra beer into my package?
    • We are adding that feature soon!
